Our family hails from the heart of Malnad, and our food has been shaped by our surroundings – the rolling hills, the misty dense forests, and the fertile valleys.
The food served at Halli Hithalu provides the best that Malnad cuisine has to offer, freshly cooked by home chefs using recipes which have been passed down through generations. We source most of the ingredients from within the plantation itself, leveraging the abundance of fresh, locally sourced ingredients to create tantalizingly flavorful and nutritious dishes that define Halli Hithalu Homestay
Authentic Elemental Stay
We take great pride in the fact that we are not a resort.
Our aim has always been to provide that hard-to-come-by homely vibe for our guests, where not everything is on a checklist and life can still find a way to surprise you. We like to call it an elemental homestay, where the four elements exist in perfect harmony, adding to your stay experience in the most natural manner possible.
Our family stays within the premises, and all of us (including our adorable pets) are always at an arm’s length should you feel the need for anything at all. We are always up for conversations, should you choose to have them. With full-time security surveillance, your safety never takes a backseat either.
We believe in living an authentic life, and it reflects in our setup, in our simple but traditional kitchen, the old brass-lined boiler which is the source of all hot water in the property, and the way we manage the entire plantation.
Barbecue
The act of dedicating a good amount of time to the pursuit of a few perfectly cooked pieces of meat may sound excessive to some, but for others, it’s a form of tribute that honors a time-tested human tradition – cooking with fire.
We believe that a BBQ pit brings people together like any good social activity. Imported from New Zealand, our BBQ setup allows you to cook your meats, and maybe the occasional veggies, just the way you want to. Revel with your family and friends and spend some time catching-up. Leisure is plentiful here.
